Burgundy Hautes-Côtes de Nuits red - Les Genévrières 2022
This red wine is made from the Pinot noir grape variety grown on a single plot, near Nuits Saint Georges, called “Les Genevrières”.
Vineyard
Certified in Organic Agriculture, the Pinot noir clusters come from a single plot, near Nuits Saint Georges, called “Les Genevrières”. This vineyard is very steep and on clay-limestone soil. The average age of the vines is between 25 and 35 years.
Winemaking
The grapes are sorted and completely destemmed. The “Les Genevrières” vintage is fermented naturally in vats for around 3 weeks with daily punching down and possibly pumping over to encourage fermentation. This wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 months (20% new barrels) before bottling.
Tasting & Pairings
Marked by the Pinot Noir grape variety, this powerful wine with airy aromas will become more complex with time. With its peppery and candied fruit taste combined with the suppleness of the tannins, it will go wonderfully with a fillet of beef, a doe or wild boar stew.

7 to 10 years.
